I'm reluctant to boast of any accomplishments, but I do like it when I read here when posters are able to fly more.

So I guess it is OK if I mention that with my promotion to full Professor this past week, I'll be able to fly a bit more!

Congrats on the promotion! More flight time is always a good thing!

I thought you were going to fess up to building a Cirrus in your garage.:D

On what topics will you be Professing?

I've often wondered where partial professors order parts to become full professors. Probably from the same place full professors order their minions?

Unlike "promotions", actual promotions are to be celebrated. Congrats!

Congrats!! Always a good thing to move up a bit, especially if it gives you more flight time!

Glad to hear it Ben. You deserve it! But does this mean you will have less time to spend posting on POA now that you will be flying more?

I just hope your promotion is different than most of the ones I suffered through. Every time I got a promotion, I would get more money; but less time to use it as the new job always included more responsibility and more hours.:mad2:

Nicely done Ben! Tenure doesn't hurt either. ;)

Music, music theory, music history, and various chamber groups.

Wow. I'm happy to hear the arts can provide an income able to fly. Too often I hear of the art being de-funded. Gratz.

Very nice to have your talent and dedication recognized, Ben. I offer hearty congratulations, and renew the offer of a hot cup of coffee, or perhaps a warm bagel, when next your travels return you to Texas.

Everything is being de-funded today. Tenure is a goal many of us can only dream of. :(

Way to go, Ben!

That probably won't happen. I'm not head of the dept., so I will just have the same classes I teach, and students.

The arts can. In my case, I teach at three colleges, and also have about 15 private students. So, even with the full-time gig, I do these other part-time ones, as well.

Thanks, Spike! I'll probably be down in a couple of months!

That's really nice, now they can't get rid of you. Always wondered how P&T worked in a music department.
