I'd like to congratulate Aggie Mike for completing his orientation and becoming the latest Angel Flight South Central pilot! He flew a mission with me yesterday, from Dallas Love to West Houston, IFR (in VMC). It was a good day!

Congrats,always good to give back.

It was a great flight.... I thoroughly enjoyed it all. First time flying with Troy and Birdy, First time on Angel Flight, First time flying GA into Dallas Love. A most excellent experience.

Just wish we had the camera ready for that oversized hawk or falcon that was perched on the runway sign at the end of 13L at KDAL.

Demonstrated another item.... just because you're in a piston single don't mean to be afraid of a busy commercial airport such as Love Field. Just plan your flight, fly your plan, be on your game, and both ATC and tower will be happy with you.

I just completed my orientation last night! Looking forward to my first mission.

You're in the DFW area, correct?

Perhaps we can team up as pilot/misson assistant as needed.

I just flew my first mission a couple of weeks ago after being a member for about 3 years. I think it was a post somewhere here that nudged me to get off my rear and do it. It was a great experience.

Congrats, Mike! This is part of my plan, too. Need some hours and ratings, though. I have cleared with the school owner to be able to do charity flights of the 4-legged variety until then.

Welcome. I took my orientation as a Command Pilot for AFW a while back, but haven't flown any missions. I think I should ride along on one before taking a mission myself.

That's awesome Ghery! You're going to love it. Call your AFW office / pilot coordinator and ask them to help connect you with someone that can do that. When a pilot requests a mission, they check a box that says they are willing to take a mission assistant, but after that it's a manual process.

Welcome to the wing, Mike. Coincidentally, Mary and I flew Ann to HOU on our last mission.
