The last time I got one of these messages, I provided a transcript, including the guy's phone number, to the feds, but if it ever led to anything, I didn't hear about it.

I use a take on a famous line from the movie Taken...
"I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking to sell me something, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you."
Typed into a note on iPad and recorded the "male" SIRI reading it
I got a text message once telling me I'd won a best buy gift card and gave me a link to claim it... which of course was to a website that wasn't best buy but looked a lot like it. It was a private information harvesting scam, I assume they were selling to advertisers but who knows. I had fun filling out page after page of "special offers" using the names of well known terrorists and phone numbers of various 3-letter law enforcement and national security agencies. Probably nothing happened... but I'd like to think maybe it did.
That reminds me, I need to get a police whistle. Press the button and wait for a "live operator," talk softly for a couple of questions, then blow the whistle as hard as I can . . .
