Line Up and Wait
I highly recommend the Peanuts movie for little kids (ages 2-4 for sure, have no experience beyond that).
Lots of things moving, stuff keeps happening, and it all looks good (nice visuals). Plot? I'm not really sure... I mean, Charlie Brown was all after the little red haired girl and all that; but it was the side story of Snoopy vs. the Red Baron that stole the show for me.
I'm not going to spoil the whole thing; but it suffices to say dogfighting ensues.
Some of the scenes are great, especially in the theater... the kind where you almost go "woah" and feel things move.
Here's my gripe... they say a 182 with 4 notches of flaps glides like a safe. They say an Arrow with the gear down and flaps out glides like a safe. What does a doghouse glide like? I mean, seriously, it has no wings, it's not that aerodynamic, moving sideways like that... it lacks visible means of propulsion, and I have no idea if the gear is up or down. Is it a tailwheel? Zero clue.
Seriously, it was worth seeing with young kids. I think it was almost better at making kids want to fly than the movie Planes. Also, no tear-jerking going on here, just fun.
