Passed my PPL Checkride this morning

I guess he decided turns around a point and S turns were useless in 18G23 winds and I was thankful.

I didn't do either of those during my checkride, also. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong... The PTS says the examiner shall select one task: rectangular course, s-turns or turns around a point. Traffic pattern = rectangular course... So, done!

Overall, it's not so much about the PTS but about positive control of the aircraft. I discovered my examiner had me do just what he needed to see to prove just that.
