Oshkosh VFR arrival: Choosing between the 90 knot and the 135 knot arrival

I've not sunk in except in the softest of years. The first year in the North 40 I did but it was really wet. The next year, no problem. The only year I had a problem in Vintage was the sloshkosh year. Vintage might be a little firmer because that area is farmed in the off season. I think the North 40 just lies fallow.

FYI. Somebody may have said this. But there a few videos on this. I've experienced the arrival and they usually have you keep the speed up all the way until Fisk and they will ask you to slow and descend...it really is a no brainer. They keep you separated from the slower traffic when able, and the descent and slow-down is not hard to handle in a cirrus 22.

Hope the OP can look me up at the show so I can buy him a beer. TBM cred. Those things are spanky.

way to dig up a 2 year old thread, new poster... :)
