Sadly, I will not be there. Would it be possible for one of y’all to find our Pilots of America brick around the brown arch and take a picture of it? I’d like to see it again.

Thanks!

To effectively get rid of ash and soot on brick, first remove all loose ash with a dry brush or an ash vacuum. Then, scrub the bricks using a paste of baking soda and dish soap (or warm water and mild dish soap). For stubborn stains, apply a solution of equal parts warm water and white vinegar, scrubbing from top to bottom.

Are you terminally ill?

and I'll shamefully admit that seeing the logo on that brick without much color allowed me to finally realize that all this time the A in America is a runway.
Too bad the lack of color washes out the VASI.

That’s your interpretation. To me it looks like a creepy guy with a mustache trying to give me a hug.

Hope there were cargo shorts to go with the New Balance sneakers in the picture. :)

No, but I seem to be terminally unable to make it up there to see this work of art in person. . .
So far, Airventure has been best lived vicariously for me. I would hate to ruin that.

So I guess technically, it may be Pilots of 'merica after all.

Mind. Blown.

That might've been the best idea I've ever had.

Okay, maybe behind marrying @mrsjimk and learning to fly.
