An American Eagle flight decided to tango with a deer while taking off out of Charlotte. They did an air return and decided to evacuate after ground inspections showed a bad right wing fuel leak. The deer looks like it hit the right wing inboard slat. I'm amazed that the slat stayed attached.

I've attached a screenshot of a video as I couldn't find a picture of the actual damage.

Edit: Also just found an inflight photo via a Facebook post. It shows the severity of the fuel leak.

Should buff right out and back on line tonight. At least it didn't damage the AOA or else it'd be grounded for weeks until Maui Wowie got the parts to them.
