No one commenting on the Flying Tesla?

Probably be as successful as the Tesla truck.
It's an exotic car. High volume is not expected.

Most models sold will likely be either the Base or Performance, neither of which will have the cold gas thrusters.

Just to pick nits here, it may be an exotic car, it may be a sports/supercar, it may take styling cues from Lamborghini, but it sure ain't a roadster (that roof don't fold and there are side windows).

This is a Top Gear video about Tesla Roadsters. The majority is from a pre-event first look Top Gear was granted with Hans and Lars. Quite a bit of information for those interested. Near the end, it talks about the original Roadster.

1990
Although it missed out on the big prize, the Cornell “sucker” car was the star of 1990. The Cornell students took a page from history and reinvented Jim Hall’s 1970 Chaparral 2J CanAm car. It featured powered ground effects and the resultant downforce was sufficient to pull a record 1.32 g on the skid pad. Similar to many sanctioning bodies, the SAE rules committee subsequently banned powered ground effects.

Nailed it.
The gas bag got his feelings hurt when someone did the real propulsive math and demonstrated what an impractical stunt it was:

You and he both missed the joke. And in the demonstrated version of the car, the passenger seat is replaced with an additional compressed-air cylinder. So Yann didn't really discover anything.

I'm not buying a flying tesla until after they fix their issue with autopilot and express lane entrances/gate arms.

I've seen 4 of these accidents in the last month in exactly the same place on I-75SB near Acworth GA. The one today happened right beside me. This video isn't an accident I saw, but looks exactly like what I saw today. And the residue of 3 prior accidents (busted gate arms, dinged Teslas) looked like the same.
