Congratulations Cowman!
An excellent write up on the oral and checkride. It sounds a little like the checkride I had many years ago. He was a pilots pilot from the old school, he flew transports all over the world after the war, flew a B-25 and Super Ventura for a company in the Twin Cities here. He also flew kidneys for the Mayo when no one else would because the roads were closed by blizzards. His attitude was to check if you "really" know how to fly and yet you always learned something from him. You didn't need to be perfect, just, can you fly a plane.
I was honored to have taken some of my first checkrides from him, and to send some of my first students to him for their rides.
