Seems I prefer Mr. Millers to the stallions or the others.

One thing I've been noticing lately is that it seems like the legacy carriers have all been padding their schedules quite a bit. They all seem to tell everyone to board really early so they can get the door closed then often arrive early too. I suspect this is helping their perceived on-time performance.

There's one that I think is filtered through a Clydesdale kidney...

But then, if you think about it, just about every molecule in that glass or bottle of water you enjoyed today has, at one time, been through someone's or something's kidney, bladder, and urine stream multiple times over the past few thousand years.

Same here. Almost every category they mentioned I have not had an issue with. They've been late a few times but what airline hasn't. Also noted one of the pictures was of a C-5A. Flight attendants are lousy on that plane.

Then they have to wait for a gate.....!
Has anyone flown through Newark lately? Always heard it sucked - boy were they right! We rolled out a few minutes late and sat for 20 minutes before the boss comes on and says we are 10th in line.....

Was there a couple weeks ago. Both flights were on time fortunately. I notice that it doesn’t take much for them to throw up a traffic management program. A little wind and or clouds and it seems to tangle them up. Even though it has its cons, EWR is the best of the 3 NYC airports IMO.

I was at a regional flying the ATR-72 and the company actually added 15' to our time, so then we were always early to arrive or on time if we left past departure time.

And if all goes well and you’re early, you’re waiting for a gate. We landed in JFK 30 minutes early and ended up blocking in late because of gate space. It’s a lose lose. If you’re early, there’s no gates. If you’re late, pax are ****ed because you’re late.

I've actually had that occur a few times. Get there early and some are still ****ed off. :dunno:

The company I worked for would have us close the baggage bins, shove the aircraft off the gate (ON TIME departure!), then act like more late bags just showed up, chock it, push the same bag carts up to the same beltloader and finish loading it three feet off the jetway...

ON TIME means absolutely nothing. Don't forget taxiing over for de-icing in winter, and waiting in the conga line for two hours... but it was an ON TIME departure! ROFLMAO.

Had a flight years ago from Reagan National to Dallas that pushed back on time, then sat 2 feet from the gate for about 2 hours as a thunderstorm blasted overhead. Got to Dallas after all the flights to Seattle had left. Spent the night there, got up at Oh Dark Thirty to catch the next flight home. But, they called that departure from DC "on-time" because it pushed back on time. Whatever...
