Hi everyone,

My name is Maxwell, and I'm new to the forum. I'm currently a CFI, CFII, MEI in Austin, TX.
Just looking to connect with other pilots in the industry.

What's your most memorable flying experience?

Welcome aboard!
As for most memorable experiences... too many to count.
540knts plus at 300ft AGL terrain contour at night..
Single engine cross country from our southern border to Anchorage, Homer, Fairbanks and return..
Single engine coast to coast and return..
300km soaring cross country at 17K MSL.. true solar powered flight..
Watching a mother panic when you climb out of the backseat of a glider and let her son fly solo at the age of 14..

Welcome! My most memorable experience was meeting @eman1200

One of my most memorable was renting a Cherokee as a new pilot after not flying for a couple months. Took off, climbed out, leveled off, reached over and pulled the throttle back...

Except it was the mixture...

That will get your attention. It's really quiet up there.

Hi Captain; welcome. Regular kaus visitor here.
recently? Did some 4000nm at 100'agl in Texas this year; C182 wildlife surveys - it was eye opening.
Oh, 30 mins of St Elmo's Fire last night at fl220, SW of Dallas.

Welcome… another 3-stripe 172 Capt..??

Perhaps I’m reading it incorrectly.

Welcome!

My most memorable was flying to Florida about a month after I got my private. It was my first real, long, multi state xc, with our two oldest kids in a club piper dakota. I learned a LOT, and it kind of "proved" the utility of GA to me and my family. I think that was the first time I used a self serve fuel pump, too, lol.

A solo, 6600 nm, month long journey around the lower 48 states in my Warrior.
And renting an Archer on Maui and flying around Maui and the Big Island.

What's yours?

Welcome, CapMax! Grab a keyboard and join in.

What's your most memorable flying experience?

Well, one night, back when I was single, I was on a Delta flight seated next to a cute young gal in a short skirt, and after a while we raised the armrest between us and we....

Oh, wait- that would probably violate the ROC. Never mind.

1. My third trip from Texas to Alaska.
2. Flying into Jackson Hole from the east on a crystal clear day.

Really, too many to pick from.

What's your most memorable flying experience?

Maybe tops: when I had the Eagle who co-wrote "Hotel California" as my copilot.

Wow, so many.

480 knots at less than 100 feet over the desert.
18,000 in a glider in a wave.
Flying past the cliffs of Molokai in a GA-7.
Shooting the gun and rockets in the A-10.
First time soloing MY AIRPLANE

Welcome. I'm based at T74, just NW of Austin.

Most memorable... too many to count. I've been blessed with some crazy opportunities! Taking photos from the tail of a B-25 might be up there!
