Anyone ever purchase anything from mypilotstore.com? I'm about to purchase a headset and sporty's doesn't take American Express. Given Amex's customer service, it's tough for me to make such a big purchase on a debit card.

Just want to make sure the site is reputable before I give them way more money than I should.

As always, thanks for the insight!

Yup, I bought my first headset (and subsequently a bunch of stuff) from them, always good experiences.

Yes, good store. I, too, bought my first headset, and the second one, and battery for hand held radio, and a lot of other stuff. I go to them first.

Awesome. Thanks guys. Their website looks much simpler than Sporty's (which is what I typically use) so I was a little concerned at first.

I've made several purchases from them with no issues whatsoever.

I bought from them about ten times, and I liked them. Shipping was reasonable.

They are very reputable. Just as good as Sporty's!

I had terrible experience with sportys. I would happily buy from Amazon and enjoy the free shipping but unfortunately they don't have a whole lot aviation wise. Thought will buy from sportys and save on sales tax... but first they send me a headset that is clearly refurbished, sent it back, them the cradle charger of the handheld was DOA, they sent a new one.... but a wrong cradle. Are they usually this incompetent? Or am I special?? I will try mypilotstore next

If I recall mypilotstore will price match too. I've used them for most things aviation related if I can't get it on amazon prime. No complaints!

Good place to purchase from, used them many times and will continue to do so.

Actually if you live in Phoenix you can order online and pick it up the same day.

Bought many things, over almost 10 years. Dropped by their location and picked up many times.

Yep good store, their actual store is here in Scottsdale...about 10 minutes from me. Ordered online and picked things up directly from the store.

I bought a nice bag for my POH and stuff I need to carry in the plane. Very good experience.

@Capt. Geoffrey Thorpe : I'm just curious, do you also use an EFB (e.g., ForeFlight or Garmin Pilot)?

Me too. And I use WingX on my iPad but carry paper for an independent backup.

This is the best part. Call ahead before placing the order, and then head over and pick it up. Saves on shipping.

Same here on the paper - iPads have a habit of shutting down due to overheating, particularly here in the desert.

    Paper charts are your friend.
