Morons Point Laser At News Chopper

Looks like a couple of punky kids. Another, 'hold my coke' moment.
 
I hope there was more to this incident than what we see in the video, because I wouldn't call just what's seen in the video as 'pointing a laser at a chopper'. not sure what they were doing with a laser to begin with but it's like a split second that the laser actually hit the chopper.

but then again, we've turned into a nation of believing a story based on partial video evidence, so there's always that.

You may be right. But if it was inadvertent, I suspect they will be more careful in the future. :)
 
Humph.... didn't even park the car very well, either.

I got hit by a laser one time. It was about 2am, at 13,000 over northeast Arizona. Some one in their back yard was playing with a laser, pointing it at objects on the ground. Then someone took it and shook it like shaking an aerosol paint can, which is when it hit me. Not intentional, I could tell, which is why I did not report it.

Apparently you've never been lazed. I have. It only takes a fraction of a second and it's not fun. You don't need a long stare at the thing.
Anyone even attempting to laze an airplane should get the full weight of law enforcement.
 
Got hit once. Lasted just a few seconds I was looking down at the center console my FO was flying the approach. I had to take control and he went to the hospital after landing.

Yup. Many GA folks chuckle, but it truly IS a big deal.
