Got married last Wednesday. In Maui for honeymoon. Today flying in a helicopter over Hana and Haleakala. Tomorrow Molickai, Friday flying in a 172SP with Maui Aviators.

sounds like fun!~
congratulations

honeymoon....how do you have so much time for flying?

I hear the soaring in HI is incredible as well. Look at that thermal generator! Congrats!

FORGET the honeymoon, post pics of the 172 already!!!!!!! SHEESH man.

JK.....happy, uh, honeymooning?

You know, the Sierras would have been a great honeymoon/flying venue as well!

(and it's really cheap to get married in Reno.)

Congrats, what are you paying for the 172?

Rhonda actually took a FAM flight with the CFI today after the helicopter ride. I'm still in shock. And yes, she will go on Friday.

Cool, we're going to Kona in October...might think about doing that over there.

Did she come with a parachute? :D

Congrats! A new wife and a new plane. Someone is sure having fun...

... and spending a bunch of $$$$$$$$$$$.

Well the wife is not a big fan of flying. She claims not to have a parachute....but thanks for your congrats!

This thread is over a year old so I'm sure the wife has a few miles on her by now. Doesn't get any cheaper though.

Actually she is a great gal. She puts up with this flying habit. I just wish she liked it so we can take joint trips. Hopefully the Cirrus (guess that's 19 but who is counting besides EF) will make her comfortable so she will fly with me. And, I'm lucky she pulls her own freight.

Did the 172 have an autopilot?

Don't know. Couldn't care less. Didn't need it. But then again I wasn't thinking about buying the plane from a grumpy, grudge holding individual, who contributes nothing.
