Left Brain 7-Up Pound Cake

True story: I was a newly licensed driver, and my mother sent me to the store to get some things. On the list was 2-1/2 pints of heavy cream.

Yes we had 5 containers of heavy cream instead of two. We still laugh about it today. -Skip

Same situation with me, except we ended up with 1 pint. Because 2 times 1/2 equals 1.

I've read this like 5 times and I must be missing something.

2 - 1/2 !=5
2 * 1/2 != 5
21/2 != 5

...

2 -1/2 pints is equal to qty 5 1/2 pint containers.
 
Well his mom should have known better.
A recipe calls for 2-1/2C of flour, I'm pretty sure she didn't put in 1C.

I would have bought a quart and an 8oz since it would have been cheaper that way I would have never thought to buy 5 1/2 pint containers.

Don't send me to buy beer either. Since I'm not drinking it, you'll get the cheapest stuff there is.

Sometimes that is the better choice. Too many "micro breweries" making their special blend of awful tasting beer.
