Labor Day Weekend! Where are you flying to?

Plans we're to fly to the 6Y9 fly-in... Then weather forecast was questionable on Saturday as we needed VFR conditions for the 5 hour flight and we decided against flying but doing yard work... :( Sure enough, half an hour after we decided not to fly the route cleared from (L)IFR to VFR... :mad::(

We fly to North Fox Island (6Y3) yesterday instead. That was a cool flight and we loved it.
 
Flew to KOUN in Norman OK with my wife and AggieMike for breakfast this morning. I flew the leg out and Mike flew the leg back. Good times! I love being able to say, 'yeah, I went and had breakfast this morning...in Oklahoma!" :D

Oliver, that's a good distance, AIRNAV doesn't even know about North Fox's runway...what's there to do there?

The airstrip was opened about two weeks ago. :) If you look for nature and quietness, this is the place to go. You shouldn't mind the sound of the sea though... :wink2::D There is a fire pit in the parking area and that was where another couple had set up their tent. That's what we want to do next time we fly to North Fox Island. :goofy:

I was a safety pilot for 3 hours.
 
Went to KHFD ( Hartford) today. Ran into people from the same FBO while there but unfortunately the restaurant was closed. Absolutely beautiful day and weekend here in the Northeast.
