OK, seems everyone likes this POA word (Hotprops gets the credit). So what's your knobdicking story, has to be aviation related, humorous if possible, and we're off! Go for it!

I read about knobdicking on PoA. I used knobdicking in a few sentences on PoA. Knobdicking is responsible for much debate on PoA.

Does knobdickery include dicking with the wrong knob? I've done that. It was not good.

Knobdickng was used in the Army, Artillery specifically, in 1985 when I went through the FA Officer Basic Course.

Every time someone mentions boobs in an aviation thread, I immediately think they are knobdicking

I engaged in a bit of knobdickery just now, when I googled "Knobdicking".

I have heard the word knobdicking in reference to what a musical producer does.

I am surprised that no one has experienced genital silicosis over this thread yet! :D

I was in ordnance, Pershing missile repair in 1970-73. It was a very common term back then.

I make it a point to keep the word alive at my company.

You mean that term is not part of Cirrus Training? That's pretty much all you guys do prior to pulling the handle.
Agreed.
I think I read in a Cirrus PoH somewhere that when you hear the magic Siri words "Stop knobdicking and pull the red handle, you wuss", you were supposed to obey and pull the red handle. *shrug*
:D

I wasn't sure how far back it went. Certainly knew it predated me. I think I actually first heard it as a cadet in computer class around 1981. Military origin seems more than plausible. Military aviation even more so.

Well that may be but it's POA's now! :confused:o_O:)
