"Radar service terminated, squawk VFR, frequency change approved" sounds pretty VFR to me.

I scratched my head and then looked at what I wrote and realized I left out a word."Radar service terminated, squawk VFR, frequency change approved" sounds pretty VFR to me.
I think the bottom line may be that while “flight following” is exclusively a VFR term, “radar service” is not.
IOW, "radar service" is more universal and applies to both.
