Interestingly it appears that the continent is still attached to Florida, and that apparently is a good thing. The West coast is still attached to the continent, as far as I can tell.

We're having an "end of the world" party. Double chocolate brownies, cinnamon rolls, sausage biscuits...
Just in case we wake up in the morning, there's a bunch of no-sugar stuff in the pantry too.
You're too late, it's been December 22nd for almost ten hours already.
It was ISA +16 today at FL360 over Dixon NDB. It's freaking December folks! Towards the end too. I thought fer sure that was a sign of the end...but alas we landed uneventfully in PBI. Guess I got some Christmas presents to buy now.

Yes the worst storm and snow fall the north Cascades has seen in years.
winds over 75 MPH up to 4 feet of snow over night.
North Cascades are now 150% of snow fall for the year, with 3 more months of snow to come.
Anybody got contact info for the head Mayan guy? I'm going to ask for his side of the story.
There is a fortune teller shop near my office. I always wondered how they stay I business, but it appears there is some demand for people who want to talk to dead people.

IF we're actually aligned with the center of the galaxy, it makes some sense that this date would offer the least obstructed path from the center to Earth via a very high speed ship that might require near-straightest line vectors.
Even though 12/21 would be the best, the era of lesser obstruction could be 100s of years long in the 26,000 year cycle....
