Is Captain a Jerk?

My Jerk threads are conceived and presented in a manner designed by me to provoke discussion. This is, after all, a discussion forum.

But every time I post one instead of discussion it's just an avalanche of how I'm an idiot, I'm a jerk, I'm mental, I should have my medical revoked, and the biggest cutdown an aviation forum can offer often comes out...I'm not fit to fly.

Why do they become personal against me? Honestly, I've never made one that attacked anyone or any group. They just posit situations and ask a question...is one of the people in the story a jerk?

How does a ton of angst against me always develop?

Not a jerk. Just a guy with way too much time on their hands.
Besides, jerk is derogatory. PC'ness requires we not nd derogatory. People take offense then riot.

I don't think you are a jerk because of your "jerk" threads. They are usually funny and somewhat thought provoking. No, that is not why I think you are a jerk! :D
But I gotta admit, this forum would be more boring without you. So you have my permission to stick around.

That may work with white meat avians but most pilots here should be smoked over low heat for 24 hours to render out the fat and tenderize...

We both posted on a public site. However when I posted there were no views and one post. You, on the other hand, waited until the were over a thousand views on this very thread before you posted. Ummm, I needed no one to see and reaffirm while you needed four digit affirmation and recognition. Interesting...

A) Who pays any attention to the view count?

B) How does a thousand people looking at a thread BEFORE someone else posts matter in how many people will see it AFTER they do?

To your point...well, a thousand people looking at a thread pre-post is a pretty good indicator how much attention one might receive post-post. (see what I did there? 'post-post'....pretty good if I do say so)

I cannot tell, for a jerk is proficient at tongue in cheek humor.

With that said, I will not participate in a circle-jerk - or line jerk for that matter.....

I don't know if you're a jerk or not, but this is probably the best thread to indicate that the "map" in your sig looks like a nice big booty.

For a so-called science supporter, you might want to revisit that. Past views mean absolutely nothing about future views, mathematically.
