I'm on the Homeland Security Watch List!

Like the grizzled old veteran told the new recruit, "Stay low, watch the war, and you will live longer."

Don't deliberately bait the jack booted thugs, they think THEY are the good guys...
The only way we can change it is to change the Congress...

1. Night currency flight El Paso to Van Horn 9:30pm departure, land Van Horn . They were courteous, and asked if I needed gas ... which I told them their field indicates no gas available on the sectional and I was fine. They stated they did have it, but didn't put the "ticks" on the sectional. At the same time as the conversation their flashlights were glancing to the rear seat and cargo area.

Now that is just weird...:confused::confused::confused:

How does the Sheriff and game warden know what is listed on the sectional and the AFD....:dunno::dunno::dunno::dunno::nono:.. And purposely leaving off critical data on a federal form is a felony.:yesnod::mad:

One of the LEO's lives in a trailer BEHIND the FBO (if you call it that). Many AC land off airport in the desert thinking Van Horn has no fuel available (one landed on top of a semi on I-10 a few years ago), so he said he was familiar with the problem. Van Horn won't pump fuel "normally" but does have it and will dispense it if needed.

More, we need to change the way we select and govern all people who go into the top levels of the governing process. We need to get to a 'Nominational Republic'.

I don't know anything about the latter, but the former; there are a lot of Sheriffs and Game Wardens that are pilots so that point doesn't really sell me.

Friend of mine in his RV-8 got tracked on a night flight returning home by a C-182 (he wasn't aware they formed up behind him). They arrived with him on the parallel runway at KELP and were at his AC before he could shutdown. KELP approach did not give a traffic advisory, so he said he was positive they (approach) were aware of the situation on arrival and kept quiet on request of agents in C-182.

This happened when I was with a friend one night at KLBB. A V-tail Bo had come in and a PC-12 landed right behind him. 5 guys with M-16s were out before the Bo could shut down. Apparently they were DEA and the Bo was suspected of drug running. I think those guys use the UHF radio so they don't alert their target; we never heard them talking to tower.
