I see in my latest issue of Flying that IFR magazine (as well as Aviation Safety) have been officially terminated by the Flying group. Too bad. I enjoyed their coverage of IFR for flib-flyers like me who want to keep engaged and current to fly in the system. Flying magazine is no substitute: it has, outside of their columnists, become largely shallow infotainment for the short attention-spanned, increasingly detached from GA and small plane owners.

Rut-Roh! I dont see that anywhere - can you provide some more details! IFR Mag is one of my favs!

My IFR subscription went through September. I complained via their website that I didn't get a March issue and they haven't replied. There was a thread here that said that the subscription would rollover to a Flying subscription but I have received no communication about the demise of IFR or the plan going forward. And I have not received any issues of Flying since I cancelled my subscription a while ago. Conclusion: Firecrown customer service is terrible.

It came as an "attached letter" in the Flying magazine plastic mailing bag. All those with subscriptions to IFR or Aviation Safety would have their Flying subscription extended the appropriate number of months to run out their subscription to the canceled magazines. One could expect that if you were not getting Flying, then you might get a few issues of Flying with the explanation why. But the Flying team did not mention that possibility.

I just got two copies of the same issue of Flying in the mail and a nice note saying they shut down IFR.

I’m trying to figure how to cancel it. I didn’t need yet another general aviation magazine. Especially one touting aircraft I’ll never be able to buy or even fly.

Looks like my decision not to renew was quite timely.

I can relate, I never did find much cathartic/recreational value to spectating/vicarious living. I was 11 years old when I chucked my first Flying magazine in the trash. An ironically out of character display of foresight, given the eventualities of my life lol.
