Was the airplane really flying, or left on the ramp in a recent storm?

Actual flight. Out in your neck of the woods, too.

I first learned of this one on the Facebook group The Landline - And the post there was talking about a controller saving a Bonanza that was out flying in the same crap! Apparently the Bo picked up enough ice that the max altitude they could sustain was about 1000 feet BELOW the controller's minimum vectoring altitude, but the controller still managed to squeak the plane between some antennas and get them on the ground at an airport low enough that they stayed out of the terrain.

Yikes. TWO non-FIKI birds out in that...
