I know we live in the country, but....

LYON COUNTY, Ky. — A second arrest has been made after an explosion on federal property shook Eddy Creek and Saratoga communities.

According to Lyon County Sheriff Brent White, law enforcement received around 17 calls regarding the blast. Deputies found a crater at a rural boat ramp off of Eddy Creek Road, on land belonging to the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Tannerite – as well as additional fuel sources, such as gasoline – were used, White confirmed.

"When you use [Tannerite] outside of the manufacturer's specifications, it becomes a problem, especially when you put another fuel source with it that's explosive in nature," White said. "You can actually get hurt, and so that's just what we're trying to prevent."

Rednecks and chemistry. What could go wrong?

Hold my beer. Let's find out!

A few minutes later... Look man, no hands!

About 8 years ago I viewed the funniest YouTube video I've ever seen, and haven't been able to find it since. Side splitting funny, where it actually hurt to hear it from laughing so hard. His timing and delivery of the story was absolutely hilarious.

An older "good ole boy" Texan was sitting in a country Diner across a table from a couple of guys and telling a story that he had witnessed someone who decided to use explosives in removing an old septic tank along the back of a house. Following the explosion the results were way worse than expected.

If anyone has any idea of what words to search for and find it would be greatly appreciated, and well worth the effort in laughs.

@judypilot , see what you started? Soon we'll have posts with detailed instructions for an H-bomb, and then the feds will shut down POA.
Probably, but it's been fun while it lasted. Someone mentioned taking a hammer to a roll of caps. I used to do that! In suburbia, no less.

Grandpa climbs out of the crater all covered in fudge and replies, "That's the last time I sit in the outhouse and light my pipe at the same time...."

Every time my ship (a WW2 Victory Ship) went into the shipyard in Charleston, SC we have to go upriver to the Charleston Naval Weapons Station and offload all our ammunition. Easier and more fun to fire it off at sea. Nothing very exciting, but a lot of 40mm aa ammo to feed our four twin mounts. And a ton of small arms ammo. The most fun there were the Tommy Guns, the BARs, and the 45 cal pistols.

The gunnery strikers hated that… they had to clean them all when we were done terrifying seagulls and the sinking the empty 55 gal drums that somehow slipped overboard.

Then, of course, after we came out of the shipyard, it was back upriver to onboard a full compliment of ammo…

Ah, the haze gray life!

I can remember a demo range where my recon platoon was given a battalion annual allocation of C4, hundreds of pounds, and told not to bring any back.
