I Almost Learned the Secrets of the Universe

A couple weeks ago, as we were pulling in to the restaurant parking lot for brunch, my wife said, “You have a fundamental flaw in your understanding about women.” I was stunned by this “revelation” and my mind began to process what she just said. I accepted that I was about to learn something earth-shattering, but the next actions of getting the children into brunch, etc. took my mind away.

Fast forward to yesterday, when I just remembered that we didn’t have that discussion, I sent her a text. She responded:
“…You didn’t remind me later on, so I thought you didn’t care.” “
“I didn’t remember, but u did; so talk”
“The message cannot be conveyed via text”

So I resigned to discussing this later, obviously I am very intrigued, as I’m about to learn all the secrets of women from a woman J….except I forgot to ask again last night.

About 30 minutes ago, while working this conversation came to mind, so I called and brought it up. We were discussing the context of the conversation, which did no yield a memory trigger for my wife. The secret is lost. On behalf of all men, I am sorry I let you down. I had an opportunity to learn the Most Important Secret of the Universe and I simply forgot.

But here’s the silver lining: we’re General Aviation pilots and this is Pilots of America (dammit)! Whatever we don’t know, we speculate! We’ll figure this one out too!
 
You found the secret, just didn't see it.

Most men don't give a crap about what a woman wants as long as they get what they want. :lol:

Even if we knew the secret of women we would forget it in a few weeks anyway. :rofl:
 
What you don't understand about women, is that they will allude in cryptic comments that there is a way to decode them, but there is not and they know it.
 
I'm still trying to figure MYSELF out!

And, right there, is the fundamental flaw you have in understanding women. You think that it's actually possible to do, and to figure them out. It's not, and never will be, something that men can understand.

As one that has been accused of overanalysis myself, even I wouldn't have pondered the statement further than that.
 
My wife thinks women were created so men wouldn't have to admit they know so little, because they have wives to keep them current.

I know if my fiance wasn't around, I'd have no idea which lane to drive in :rolleyes:
 
Once you figure out women, please proceed to provide insight into the inner workings of the FAA.
 
The woman write the rules and can change them without notice.
 
It is ALWAYS preferable to let the woman in your life figure thigns out, and just say "yes dear." It makes things go ever so much better.

Let's face it, you're going to do what she wants anyway, eventually. Why not skip the unpleasant part?
 
I am neither a mind reader, nor an anticipator of everything, nor a 100% perfect listener all the time. Get over it......

Over many decades, I've gotten the impression that women bond with each other more easily than men bond with other men.

Understanding women is like understanding the weather.

You can learn the various underlying forces, you can learn to recognize the signs and get an idea of what's going on but at the end of the day that's not going to help because you're going to be flying right into it with no METARS, no TAF, no briefing, no radio, and no radar.

Some guys reportedly have 'gaydar' though; maybe that helps. ;)
