Does anyone know a good place to find wind data for a specific area? I live in Parker, CO and need this information to design and build a ham radio antenna tower and for flying radio control models. KAPA is about 15 miles away but the conditions reported via its ATIS is usually very different from what we experience.

    Thank you!

I haven't done so myself, but this would appear to be a good place to start: https://www.climate.gov/maps-data/dataset/monthly-wind-rose-plots-charts

Edit: Took a look, and it appears that your choice of locations is very limited on that website. Here is another that looks better: https://content.meteoblue.com/ro/access-options/history/wind-rose

The best source of hourly historicals I've found is here:

    https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/data/global-hourly/

I use it to feed MLai models every so often. Free, hourly, global, and goes back to the 1920s sometimes, though 1970s is when they really got widespread.

This site has APA, which I know you said is often different from where you are, but that may be the best you can do. Most of these sites seem to get their information from METARs, which of course will usually only be available at an airport with an AWOS/ASOS.

I like windalert.com. It shows daily winds for the past several years. It also shows average direction and speed for various months.

Here's an excerpt from ONT in Southern CA.
