I’m changing the wing roots on a piper PA28-161. It’s a *****!! Any advise, tips or tricks except using soap and water.. and patience..!?!? I’m about to give up. im stuck on the curve on the edge of the wing. Can’t get the son of a ***** to slip in...
The only "wing root changes" I'm familiar with require sheetmetal skills and a wing jig. Perhaps you are changing something else??
I’m sorry, I should’ve been more specific - my finger tips were swollen from shoving it in... it’s the rubber seals. Wing root rubber seals
Ha. Good luck. That's one of those jobs I always steered away from. But this might help regardless where you bought your seals from. https://www.brownaircraft.com/v/vspfiles/Wing Root.pdf There's also a "string" method but doesn't work on all aircraft.
I used wd40 on my Warrior, Got it done in under one hour. Also use painters wooden stick you get when buying paint.
