Happy Black Friday!

What madness? I've been quite underwhelmed by the quality of melee footage in the past 3 or so years. I blame amazon. The mouth-breathing hordes now stay home and order online.

I've never engaged in Black Friday shopping in my entire life. The same products have been available before today and will be available after today. The money that might be saved on any given product is not worth dealing with the traffic, crowds, and stupidity. Besides, there are leftovers that require dealing with.

Wow... I drove by Walmart today and the parking lot was half empty. (or half full)

Even the tiny mall here was empty enough for me to have gone in if I needed to.

I remember the first year I lived here, 12 years ago, Walmart was so full on black Friday that the police was working traffic in the parking lot. One car leaves, one car goes in. People were parking on the interstate and walking to Walmart. Not this year.

Then again, the casino does suck up all the available loose money from folks that can't afford to lose it.
