Happy 4th

@2-Bit Speed and I were planning on using the long weekend to visit @Half Fast , but I spent the two days prior dealing with a massive wave of morning sickness/allergies and did not have the endurance for the 4.5 hour car ride and had to miss some really drool-worthy ribs from the pictures I saw. :(

Instead, we were graciously invited out to @GoFly's place for BBQ and fireworks. We throughly enjoyed the delicious BBQ and yummy sides (and the lemonade was awesome!!) and sitting out on the dock was such a relaxing and wonderful way to spend the early evening. If I weren't so tired, we would have loved to hang out and watch the fireworks, but I have become an old person and I have to be home and getting ready for bed around 9pm now. ;) It was such a fun and relaxing evening, though!

The ribs were wonderful, but not worth you getting sick. We’ll do them again when you’re able to visit.

Glad that 2bit and SkyChaser were able to come out to the river house and enjoy BBQ and all the fixings. Hope you guys didn’t mind hanging out with all of us old folks

I was building a replica SAM sight on a hill in the back yard, but since I live under the traffic pattern and the back of the property over looks the airport and is a couple hundred feet higher than the runway, some folks complained about looking down and seeing this....

Do you have the radar units as well? Hah, even in my easy target of a plane flying straight and level at 4500ft and 112kts you can't scare me with even the most convincing SA-2 replica that lacks the requisite tracking equipment. :cool:
