Guys, what kinda BBQ grill you using at the hangar? Obviously, the grill will be used outside of the hangar for proper ventilation and no propane storage in the hangar. With that said, whats the best kinda grill to get for the hangar?

I use a little Weber smokey Joe charcoal grill. Big enough for 2 people. When we have more people we use a Weber larger charcoal grill that is kept in my buddy's hangar next door.
The ironic thing is I am a fuel guy who sells LP gas at work. I have LP grills at home but didn't want a full sized grill on wheels in the hangar since I only grill for myself most times. And I didn't want a 20 lb LP tank in the hangar year round. I have enough stuff taking up floor space.
The smokey joe will grill up some tasty dishes with minimal fuel requirements.
Chicken breast prepared on the smokey joe during a fall eve before I could afford a real coffee table. lol

I have a Kalamazoo Gourmet in the outside kitchen and a trailer-mounted Carolina Cooker. I also have a Grill Dome (big green egg like thing) but I've not used it in years. Both the Kalamazoo and the cooker are hybrids and can run on propane or wood/charcoal or both. The GrillDome is a charcoal thing.

I also have a SmokeAi which is a stainless steel pipe that you load up with smoker pellets and it has an aquarium air pump that blows across the coals and makes an immense amount of cold smoke. I trilled a hole in the back of the pig cooker to make use of it. If I want to use it on the smaller grill, I just prop the lid open with a two by four.

I read the title as "Hangar Girls". I was ready to join that fly-in.

I'm not. Have a 40' T with a ~37' wingspan low wing. I ain't moving the grill to get the plane out, or moving the plane to get the grill out. Also, no fridge or couch, neither. When the get the TN place built we won't have one either, because the grill will be on the covered porch by the pool and the hangar will be pretty nearby.

I don't do any cooking at the airport but if I did and I had a place to plug it in I'd go for a pellet grill. I have a propane and charcoal grill that I've barely touched since I got the pellet grill- mainly bought it as a smoker but ended up using it for everything. IMO pellets are more convenient that propane tanks and charcoal is a pain to deal with. The pellet grill gives you the best of both worlds and I don't see myself going back.

I like the gravity feed charcoal we got. Dump it in along with the wood for smoke and let the digital controller take care of the temp.
