Then perhaps you can aspire to solve the Rubik's cube.

Meh - that's dude's nothing. I've been working at it for 30 years!

I saw a video the other day of a robot that solves it autonomously nearly as fast.

As for the shooter aspect... Phalanx wins. :D

The amount of time that one would have had to spent in order to be that good could have probably gotten one through med school.

As an aside, on my last two posts I've received this warning:

"You have selected 1 post that is not part of this thread. Quote this post as well, or deselect this post."

Huh?

I have a nephew who's a genius (literally).

Give him a Rubik's cube, give him a few seconds to study it, blindfold him, and he'll solve it blindfolded.

The kid (he's probably 35) worked for HP and other computer/software companies, owns numerous patents, and is retired.

My oldest nephew goes to Rubik's cube competitions. He's 12, I think and solved a standard Rubik's cube one-handed in 41 seconds. He's got something like 20 different Rubik's cubes at home, several regular ones, but they've got all sorts of different shapes and sizes.

I remember when I was his age my solution to a Rubik's cube was to peel the stickers off and put them so one color was all on one side.

I disassembled the cube and popped it back together correct.
