Used to sing that song at the Indy 500 every year, for years.

[GlennAB1]

Used to sing that song at the Indy 500 every year, for years.

[Kritchlow]

Used to sing that song at the Indy 500 every year, for years.

"Back Home Again..." for more than 30 years. That's something!!!

And he had quite a voice....

[GlennAB1]

And he had quite a voice....

A deep, throaty, one.

[rtk11]

RIP Jim Nabers. A piece of my childhood is owed to you!

[Brad Smith]

GP was one of my favorite shows growing up. That and Andy Griffith. RIP Jim.

[mscard88]

"Back Home Again..." for more than 30 years. That's something!!!

Yes I couldn't recall the song. Thanks.

[GlennAB1]

Yes I couldn't recall the song. Thanks.

I could never forget it, been living it for over 30 years.

[Shepherd]

Wow. I am so sorry to read this.
RIP, Gomer.

[SkyDog58]

"Back Home Again..." for more than 30 years. That's something!!!

Yep and many people thought he was from Indiana due to him always performing that song at that event.

[GlennAB1]

He wasn't? LOL

[mscard88]

He wasn't? LOL

Nope, Bama boy!

But you know that.

[flyingron]

Sarge...how come I talk like this and I sing (shifting to the low tones) like this?

[Timbeck2]

I thought he died years ago.

[FastEddieB]

I thought he was long since gone.

But I must have been thinking of Bob Denver.

Anyone else mix the two up?

[Pilawt]

But I must have been thinking of Bob Denver.

Anyone else mix the two up?

You rang?

[mscard88]

Anyone else mix the two up?

Nope.

[GlennAB1]

I thought he died years ago.

That's what my brother in law said.

[SkyDog58]

I thought he died years ago.

Me too.

[mscard88]

Me too.

You think anyone older than you is dead.

[frfly172]

The man had a great voice RIP.

[timwinters]

A deep, throaty, one.

That's freakin' hilarious...irreverent, but hilarious!

You should be ashamed. Or proud. Or....

[flyingron]

I thought he was long since gone.

But I must have been thinking of Bob Denver.

Anyone else mix the two up?

I thought it was that chick from Grease...Elton John.

[Timbeck2]

Ya know Ron, I get it with the Elton John thing but the fact that you mentioned "Grease" just kills it.

[Pilawt]

But I must have been thinking of Bob Denver.

Anyone else mix the two up?

Perfectly understandable ... Bob Denver -> Denver Pyle -> Gomer Pyle ...

[TRocket]

Perfectly understandable ... Bob Denver -> Denver Pyle -> Gomer Pyle ...

Hey, leave Uncle Jesse out of this!

[Zeldman]

So, if Rock Hudson would have married Gomer Pyle, would his name be Rock Pyle..???
