oh the joys of working with an old overdone IFR panel. To make things worse we cut the wires from the old encoder to fish them out of the cooled web of wires only to learn they fed information back to the KLN90B GPS. The decision now is to try and retrace the wires and out the old encoder back in or go without it and see how the GPS reacts.

Damn... another day I'm happy that my panel redo included full wiring diagrams for everything. [Note to self - get them digitized]

Which ADS-B did you go with? I'm looking very closely at uAvionics echoUAT.

But to your question, I'd reconnect the encoder to GPS. Can't be THAT hard to do.

GTX345. My old transponder was acting up so I needed a new one anyway.

You’ve got like ten pounds of stuff in a five pound bag behind that panel, Grumm. Haha. Wow.

I hope our shop visit in December for our Garmin toys goes a little better than that.

wow what a mess. Do you fly it right seat?

I had a navworx and have an echo on order. Make sure you have the required spacing for the ads-b antenna.

Sorry guys, I don't think that looks bad at all, there's a lot of equipment there, but the install looks like it was well done.

Didn't intend to imply the install was poorly done. I wouldn't want to have to delve into it though.

Yes flown right seat. With such a narrow gear it helps balance the plane and offset the torque of the engine.

Is that what they call plug-and-play
?

Only until you want to change the tune...

I've seen much worse behind the panel. MUCH WORSE. Nice to see a Questar flying, always wanted one.

I took my airplane in for some ADSB stuff just before Thanksgiving. Haven't seen it since.
