Fuel stabilizer test

Stab-bil is what I've always used, so that's good to know. Really just gets put in the fuel for lawn equipment on the last one or two mowings of the season and the boat/jet ski.

I have a bottle of Sta-bil that's probably as old as my account on PoA. I wonder if the fuel stabilizer is still stable?

I'm a bit wary of whether sticking an aim-n-flame in a pool of gas is a valid way to test anything. The corrosion test and the run-the-generator test is more interesting.

I'm not sure why you'd put two stroke oil in a four stroke generator and expect anything meaningful out of the test.

I love the mystery oil test. My grandmother swore by that stuff, and I thought she was making it up. Mystery oil? As a teenager, I inherited her car. Poking around the autoparts store I found the stuff really did exist, and had to give it a try. At least it had a nice minty scent.
