I've been using FlightAware to keep up with my pilot logs. Every week or two, I download my N number data to a spreadsheet and clean it up, then paste into my electronic log.

Unfortunately I had some events and got behind on my process, and have no record of a few flights last November. FA won't go back that far without a ridiculous fee.

Are there any free sources for ADS-B historical data by N-number?

This doesn't answer your question, but flysto.net has a neat feature where you can suck your flight data into their tool and visualize it.

Sorry for not answering the question. I get free enterprise edition for hosting adsb receivers for them so I haven't had this issue.

+1 for flysto. Found out dad hasn't been keeping logbooks until he's do for a review, then in a scramble to figure out his hours. No paper. No digital. His logbook stopped around 2010. Dude! You've had foreflight almost since the beginning how have you not even set up the logbook and take advantage of it?

I’m one of those people who like to fill out my logbook and put comments in about the flight and who I flew with. I’ve never used the logbook feature but out of curiosity I checked and ForeFlight has all of my flights, including the sims, back to April 2016.
My brother on the other hand would only fill out his logbook when filling out the insurance forms. He would go through the track log on the Garmin 395/495 and then call me to figure out which flights were mine.

I know it’s all about different strokes, but I’m really curious about why.

One that comes to mind is a pilot who spends a week away with their paper logbook safely back at home.

But otherwise, I find it hard to think that searching through 1-2 weeks of ADS-B track data to figure out what you did is more time efficient than taking 2-3 minutes while relaxing with a beer after a flight.

AirSync module fed into MyFlightbook is also a good method.

You can almost use google maps if you don't need the time accurate down to the last minute. I just looked in my Googlemaps timeline, and it goes back a very long time. Many of my short flights show up as "driving" but that's not hard to figure out. That's assuming you had your phone with you.
