The last update causes the Classic Radar button (on the map) to default to on anytime I restart the app, which is annoying me.
I realize it could be helpful to some but I find that I constantly need to turn it off (usually it’s b/c no signal, so I get a No Radar pattern obscuring map details.)
Is there a setting to default it to off?

That's odd. Doesn't happen on mine (ipad mini 6, updated apps and OS.) I also keep radar layers turned off.
 
Mine goes to Radar Classic unless I'm in my plane and then it connects to Radar ADSB
 
There's a setting "Start on Last Screen." With that selected, it defaults to what you had going the last time it was open.

Right. Turn that off and it always starts on the Airports tab.

But even with that on, I don't come back to the app with the Map Layers open.

@Let'sgoflying! Is that what you are seeing? Or just that your last layer selections remain? That seems normal to me.
