I posted this pic in the daily thread:

This song was playing as we were flying, and it made me think it would be a nice one for an aviation video, if I would ever bother creating it.

So, what kind of music would you use for an aviation video? Share your personal gems, and (if you have it) a matching picture.

I think most of mine have some kind of music that I felt fits the mood. Could be anything from “the Greatest American Hero” piano cover I used in my Whistler mountain flight to free rock and jazz pieces from various artists, all the way to classical, like this cello suite from, ahhh, Bach (my first GoPro era video + you can see how old it is).

My music choice varies on flight conditions. My absolute favorite is flying in rough weather listening to "Gimme Shelter" by the stones, particularly when I'm getting close to landing. I will never get sick of that.

Early morning calm flying, I listen to Tycho: Coastal Brake or Hours.

Wow, that works quite well for a flying video.
I’m no artiste but I think music creates a mood. I have one of a landing at a North Carolina mountain airport (pre GoPro quality). It originally had background music that made it seem I was performing some death defying act. So I change it.

Perhaps I'm just a bad person, but I tend to find "flying" videos not that interesting. So, something more energetic to listen to while I ignore the video of scenery scrolling by that you can't really see...

Nothing better than some classic Johnny Cash. My passengers love it when I sing the chorus while we're on final.

That entire album, Song Pilot, is great flying music. I'm really surprised I've never seen an Oshkosh video that used People, Places, and Planes considering it's obviously about Oshkosh (even mentions Fond du Lac early on).

I prefer a kind of improvational "techno" by my fave 'Super Netto'. :)
