Flew the Cardinal KJTC - WINW on Sat. 11/25. Nice calm flight that took 1.0 hrs. Firstly the airport is named Winslow Lindbergh Regional Airport and there is a big hangar from the 1930's. The hangar has TAT printed on it from the Transcontinental Air Transport which Charles Lindbergh helped design the route across country. Winslow was a stop on the first commercial transcontinental air transport airline that flew Ford tri-motors. Information link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transcontinental_Air_Transport We walked the mile to town and stopped at the "standin on the corner" site made famous by the Eagles. We had lunch at a very good mexican food restaurant and then walked over to the La Posada hotel/restaurant/museum. It was also built in the 1930's and is nicely restored and historic. info link: http://laposada.org/ Return flight was only 45 min. with the tailwind. Would recommend a stop in Winslow if you're ever in that area. We'll take the taxi to town the next time though. The TAT hangar. Ms Cardinalguy standin on the corner' La Posada entry. La Posada grounds.
