Anybody done one? Got a pirep? thanks very much.

It was ages ago, but I did it for private, instrument, and commercial. Efficient. Drill for 1.5 days and then take the test. Good way to pass. Not great for retention after the test.

I did it twice. Each time I took the written. Passed with 90+ both times. I used it as a finishing course after using Dauntless for one and Gold Seal for the other. I found it very useful to get focused.

longer ago than I care to admit.. But was efficient and straightforward, 1 and a bit days going through the questions then later on day 2 do the written while it's all still fresh in your mind - worth it!

Really, really, long time ago but late last century it was great test prep.

Thanks all. Seems like all has shifted to video classes

Just checked their website, under 'course calendar', they are still offering in person 2 day courses albeit in only a handful of locations.

I can't speak to the instrument course, but I've done my two FIRCs so far with Aviation Seminars - most recently last November. Those were in-person, and it was a good experience.

Sorry I didn't linger in the ABS thing long enough to make this remark: You are about 2 feet taller in person than you appear in your vids :D :P

I took a FIRC with them about 20 years ago. It was awful. Nothing of value was taught and the entire thing was amateurish to the max. But again, that was 20 years ago. They've had plenty of time to polish up since then.

Why would we think someone with ****e product 20 years ago would up their game. everything only gets worse
