Russian Spetznas saluting me jumping out of a US Army Blackhawk over Bosnia in the late 90's...probably the coolest aviation picture I have...and a great story.

Finally had some cross wind since I started learning (end of October)....it was 3kts. :wink2:

I'm still in flight school, so I don't take pics while flying. But, walking out to the plane yesterday (the middle one) was pretty. Was sunny over the airport for pattern work with dramatic clouds in the background.

Shot this one yesterday of our local skydiving jump plane over the ship channel between Aransas Pass (seen behind the Skylane) and Mustang Island, Texas.

Flying my RV across the plains of Mars... oops, I mean southwest Wyoming.

Here's an interesting lenticular cloud that looks like a blimp with wings (and yes, I was getting the snot beat out of me by turbulence).

That water looks pretty. Is there snorkeling/diving around you?

Lots of guys dive out by the oil rigs in the Gulf. (This picture is looking North. Behind me, in the picture, would be our home island, and the Gulf would lay beyond.). Ironically, the rigs have become a paradise of aquatic life, like giant artificial reefs.

Wow! A 2 seat P-51 B or C. I didn't even know one existed.

John

It's the only dual controlled TP-51C in the world. For a small fee ($2,200) you can fly it. Collings Foundation will be ramping up their tours again next month.
