Is there any request I can apply to ask the feds to not list my airplane and airmen certs etc.?

I know that you can "hide" you city/state info, but not sure you can remove your listings altogether. I recall that several of the Apollo astronauts got their listings completely hidden, but don't know what level of VIP you need to be to get that.

You can go here, log in (create one if you don't have one) and ask for your airman address not be listed in the public airman database.
You can go here for instructions (a bit more complicated) on how to remove ownership information from the public aircraft registration database.

Interestingly - I had my address withheld several years ago. Not sure if it is a bug, a feature, or a fluke - but the ONLY way I come up in the registry is to search by my certificate number. Hope I didn’t just jinx myself.

It looks for all the search criteria, and there must be an explicit match. So if your address is withheld, and you put any information in the address field, you will get no results. Try searching for only your last name.

You can ask but the FAA will ignore that request. They misconstrue the rather clear letter of the law to allow you to op out of your information being shown to only deleting your snail mail address.

This. If you put a state in, you will get zero matches.

You can go here and ask why our personal and vehicle information [edit; and LIVE location] is immediately available to the entire world, but the same does not apply to drivers of ground vehicles and their cars/trucks.

Or option 4. Apparent user error.

I thought I had tried searching that way, to no avail. However, when I just tried again without state, I show up.

Oh well. Happily, a search of my tail number now no longer reveals me as an aircraft owner.

OP - go to the FAA cares website and submit the form for your personal information to be withheld on your aircraft registry. It’s great!

I'll tell you why I'm asking how to block my airplane info.
Over the decades of owning and flying across America, coworkers find out I have a plane and it becomes some kind of weird envy. They feel i must make a lot of money to fly personal plane. This actually influences my position in a company...yes, it's that stupid what people conjure and rationalize their opinion about you.
Hence, I'd like to block my personal info so everyone can mind their own business!

Well, that's pretty much one of the main reasons that people title their aircraft in the name of an LLC. Lots of airplanes out there are owned by "N12345 LLC" or similarly vague names. Obviously not a complete privacy solution, but pretty effective against casual and temporary interest, like from coworkers.

Adjacent but not the same, I wish I could remove my plane from flight aware but ME still be able to see the data under my login. Best I can tell, it's all or none.

With respect to coworkers, isn’t that cat already out of the bag? Once one knows, don’t they just pass it around?

You could go the LLC route and it would be difficult to ID you as an owner

How difficult can depend on the state the LLC is formed in and the way it was formed.
Not in any state I'm familiar with. In all the states I've seen only the registered agent is listed. It would behoove you not to list yourself as the RA if you are trying to hide (and don't use your personal address as the principal office).

Some states require listing managers in the publicly available annual report. Of course, the Manager doesn’t have to be the underlying owner, it can even be another LLC in a multi level nested LLC, but that’s justvpart of “the way it was formed.”
