Estate Planning For Pilots

There are a lot of jobs you can't get as an attractive blonde. Like the aforementioned small company that only hires on qualifications unless you are a buddy of the pilot in which case credentials don't matter. And of course, if you are an attractive blonde, you aren't going to get hired no matter how impressive your credentials unless the pilot hiring is looking toward getting divorced anyway.

At times there have companies hiring on gender and not qualifications. The FAA was big on that for awhile. After United signed the consent decree to settle a lawsuit, they rushed out to hire all the females they could find, and I am sure that most were not as qualified as the guys applying at that time. That system gets pulled all out of shape when you try to rectify a wrong in months that took decades to create.

I wondered if the SIC female in the Colgan crash in Buffalo was too afraid to question the male captain , or just had NO clue on how to fly the plane...

Im approaching 7 years in the industry, I've yet to work for a company that cares about anything other than hours, ratings, personality and professionalism.

When I was running my school, I only had a couple women stop by, usually it was because dad and boyfriend bought them a discovery flight.

I really don't think the lack of women in aviation has much to do with anything other than a lack of interest.

Typical. Womyn never take responsibility for anything, always blaming someone else. The lack of interest is genetic, throw money at innate genetic behavior preferences if you want, we'll be here laughing all the way.

Not being interest just means that, not interested.

I'm not interested in diving a Miata or Prius, not because the majority of people driving then are women and gay men, its just because I don't feel like driving one.

The women that came to my school were treated very nice, same as the guys, explained everything and they just were not interested...they also weren't the ones who bought their discovery flights, just not interested

My Father,,,, who I admired ALOT .......would always use that line.... And I personally considered it dumb..... In life, I pay ALL my bills.. In death ,I will not change my style...

I intend to effect the grand kids lives in a very positive way while I am alive and beyond. I've already raised 3 successful daughters.

Maybe exhausted and suffering from a cold. Maybe incompetent. Certainly flight instructing in Arizona is not great preparation for winter flight ops in the Great Lakes.

Dad said that, and had the spreadsheet to prove he was attempting it. Then he died 30 years before his planned date, which he estimated by watching his father outlive ALL of his friends by almost a decade.
