End Of The World Coming 12/21/2012

First, I would finally drink that bottle of 21 yr old Chivas Regal Royal Salute I have been saving for a special occasion. Then I would drink everything else in my cabinet until I had no idea whether the world still existed or not. Nor would I care. And if the world doesn't end, and if I do wake up, I will wish it ended.
 
For what it's worth, I've received an unconfirmed report from Southeast Asia, where it is currently Friday, that the world is in fact still here.
 
Okay, so just in case the Myans's have it right and we'll all be dead tomorrow......

I want to apologize to anyone I have offended.

Maybe the world ends and maybe it doesn't but my Snoopy calendar definitely says the world ends on December 31.

If the Mayans can have THEIR end of the world story, I'm sticking to to MY end of the world story.
 
It is 0100 and the world is still here...oh well I guess I do have to pay those bills.
 
Aren't you people in the east all dead yet?

I figure about 98% of the people who survive the end of the world do so simply because they're too dumb to know how to die on schedule.

I have no doubt someone (here or otherwise) will tell me to wait until the sun comes up, or noon, or 3pm, or whatever hogwash they come up with.

It's over, the Mayans were wrong, December 22nd has arrived.
 
With the amount of rain we had on the east coast last night, I thought for sure we were goners...

Give me a minute, destroying the Earth is gonna take more than a second and I just got up....
 
Mayan TV now says they can't make it official until the absentee ballots from Chicago are counted. News at 10, film at 11.

Well... December 21 is only a modern convention. The actual end is scheduled for the Winter Solstice. What's not clear is whether they mean the beginning, middle, end, or some other part. The exact moment of the Winter Solstice this year is 11:11 GMT, but the Mayans, of course, were on another time zone.

Also, it could take a while for the end to occur. It could be a progressive thing -- like a tidal wave washing over the earth, perhaps. I know it's been raining cats and dogs here in the East. I even stepped in a poodle.

Or the Sun converting hydrogen to helium and heavier elements and warming up as a result over the next few billion years until it vaporizes the Earth.


I saw a calendar at work yesterday. It ends on Jan 6. We are all doomed in a little more than two weeks. The end of the world. aaiigghh!! Again...
