Collings B-17 Restoration

Many of you will remember the 2019 crash of a Collings Foundation B-17, discussed here:

I just ran across the current newsletter of the Foundation, and learned that they have another B-17 that they are restoring.

I hope they have learned whatever lessons needed to be learned from the crash of the first one.

Ray Moore, over in NC is scratch building one also. Ray is the guy that's built most of the heavy tooling for B-17 repair in use today.

Given the shortcomings that were pointed out in the original thread, I can certainly understand that point of view.
