Meet the Fokkers
Mountains. Just flew up that way a couple weeks ago.
It’s just trying to depict how the mountains lay in that area.
Yep.Thanks. For some reason I can't seem to locate that anywhere.
So are the dots a high point or something?
from the satellite view on google, looks like areas you don't want to crash into
Especially when they want you to take them out on Friday evenings!Yes, the areas I want to crash into are much lower. They're kind of deep..... even moist at times....and expensive.

Cliffs or bluffs more so than mountains.
That makes sense too, as the only reference I ever saw mentioned 'rapidly rising terrain'. But that was only after typing a search for squiggly lines with perpendicular lines lol...and no pictures of the lines.
Yeah, bluffs would be a better descriptor word. Not so much a low lying area. Quite a bit of mountainous terrain in between RNC and Dunlap, but it’s all fairly low. That makes sense too, as the only reference I ever saw mentioned 'rapidly rising terrain'. But that was only after typing a search for squiggly lines with perpendicular lines lol...and no pictures of the lines.
I couldn't find the stuff in the chart on the FAA guide that lists everything on the charts except for what it doesn't.Those are missing the perpendicular lines.
Or am I?
Another new word...
Mscardment
noun
1. fortification or defensive position on POA.
2. A sense of humor not appreciated by some (sadly)
I'll probably use that on somebody too.
Oh, they got their ejection handle pulled. Must have been a mscardment!
