Pilot and 9 pax. Flying from Coldfoot to Anaktuvuk Pass. Landed out, nose wheel collapsed. Picked up by helicopter. All apparently ok.

Garret powered Caravan supposedly.

How they gonna get it out of there? Fly it?

The worst part may have been the mosquitoes.

Hopefully the skeeter juice hadn't been ''borrowed'' out of the survival pack...

It will be an interesting report to read. The gas generator section sounded healthy after the forced landing, I wonder what let go inside the engine.

Yeah, didn't appear that fuel cutoff worked, did it? That thing screamed for several minutes. Maybe gearbox went bad?

It seemed like the condition lever was moved to cutoff immediately after the plane stopped. I couldn’t see the fuel tank selectors after a certain point, but at that point those were still on. Would that have made a faster difference?

I saw the pilot do something, I assumed cutoff, but it didn't seem to help.

Depends if the control cables were sheared during the sequence. I believe the header/reservoir tank is downstream of fuel cutoff valves from the wings so if the cockpit lever cables are compromised, the engine would run unless you manually closed the FCU arm. But it didn't sound like it was at full power which may have been the initial issue. Plus with the prop laying on the ground not much load on the turbine.
