Anyone get an email to login into CARES?
Here is what the email says:
'Your user account will be deactivated in 30 days. Please login to CARES before 07/26/2026 to avoid deactivating your account.

If you have questions or concerns about accessing the CARES system (e.g., login/account registration), please contact the FAA Service Desk:
Phone: 1-844-FAA-MYIT (322-6948)
Email: [email protected].'

After I logged it says there is no aircraft data associated with this account.
What the heck!?
 
Yep. Got it. Seems a left hand right hand thing as it uses some semi universal login now.

So I logged in, all seemed well. Then I got my account was deactivated… what ev… Then I needed to use is so prepared for making a new account battle but logged right in.

The no a/c data thing seems to represent no pending issues, like a pending registration application.
 
My immediate thought was that the 'gov' laid off someone that knew what they were doing...

or failed to properly secure the system before terminating someone with root privileges
 
Also receiving notices that a login is required. I have logged in, and am still getting messages that I need to log in. Wonder how long it will take FAA to realize they have a problem, and then how long to fix the problem?
 
How long for CARES to replace IACRA? Over and under bets?
 
IACRA is PERECTLY disfunctional… why would they replace it? Took a lot of work to get something THAT disfunctional. A true work of genius…
 
I've just received from FAA that my CARES account has been deactivated.
So, now what?
What will this do to my registered aircraft?
