Blocking (ignoring) people

We've had numerous discussions here over the years (some in private) about putting people on ignore, how many, who, etc.

Well, I'm tired of my bullsh*t, don't want to read it any more, and just tried to put myself on ignore. When I did, I got the message "you can't ignore yourself."

Huh? Why not?

actually, it is done, and there are several floating point versions of NaN (Not a Number) for the result.
