This seemed really cool to me so I thought I'd post it here so all the experts could tell me why it will never work.

At least it would eliminate the "unleaded avgas" arguments (and the noise).

You may be surprised. The scalability of building the current slew of eVTOLs, eSTOLs, and eCTOLs is closer to electrical equipment than conventional aircraft. And since Beta is using Part 23 to certify the CX300 it will be interesting where its price point will end up once they market it to the private market vs commercial market.
